Well known EdTech start-up who have had lots of positive media coverage on their product are looking for a Front End Developer who has experience in either Vue.js or React (or both!), to come on board and help shape the future technology landscape.

Technology wise, they are quite relaxed about training someone up who doesn’t tick every box, as it’s a new product they can use whatever tech they decide. However, the current developers have recently been using Vue.js, React, Node.js (tiny but) so they think this will be a similar route. As mentioned, they like to train people within the latest tech, so if you only have circa 12 / 24 months experience that’s ok with them.

I have worked alongside this company since they formed two years ago and they have gone from strength to strength, they have a great product which changes peoples lives for the better. This company likes to give responsibility out, so you will be involved in decision making on tech / projects and having a real influence on the product. The vast amount of work is either Vue.js or React based. However, as they are still young, you’ll be able to make a case for using any technology you think would help.

Technical Overview:

  • Hands-on skills with JavaScript, Vue.js or React, HTML & CSS.
  • The ability to implement features without depending on frameworks.
  • Experience measuring and optimising the performance of web applications.
  • Automated UI testing experience.
  • Integrating with eCommerce and payment providers (Bonus)
  • Interaction with REST API’s (Bonus)

The successful Front End Developer will earn up to £55,000 (depending on experience) and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including. The company has been performing well throughout Covid and have successfully on-boarded numerous technical hires over the past five months. Interview’s will all be completed remotely.
