Leading independent force with multiple sectors spreading from pensions to analytics are looking for an infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team!


This candidate will build, support and continuously improve performance, scalable, resilient and efficient infrastructure, both physical and cloud-based, that underpins internal and client facing solutions. 


Some of the key points we are looking for in this role is strong experience with Terraform and Azure, if someone has experience in Palo Alto that is an added bonus.


This infrastructure Engineer will have responsibilities such as:

  • Develop, support and continuously improve the technology infrastructure

  • Design and implement standardised templates and configuration baselines

  • Relevant infrastructure technologies and solutions, including compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, COTS and open-source solutions and virtual and cloud computing, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS

  • Proactively drive the automation of infrastructure tasks to reduce time overheads on standard practises

  • Automation of manual or repetitive tasks to enhance end-to-end infrastructure health and performance

  • Processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to stakeholders for both physical and cloud-based workloads


We are looking for experience in:

  • First-hand experience and knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies, emerging standards and trends, such as Azure hosted services and Office 365, 

  • Experience of managing infrastructure within a DevOps organisation – including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation and enterprise monitoring and reporting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Zabbix, and Azure Monitor

  • Demonstrable first-hand experience of managing IP based networks

  • Demonstrable first-hand experience with modern infrastructure event/log management and alerting and related workflow automation such as Power Automate, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor

  • Ability to proactively own and coordinate resolving infrastructure issues,


The successful candidate will earn up to £60,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 10-15% bonuses, great pension, medical cover, insurance, plus numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team works on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week on-site in their Southampton office.
