Python Technical Lead wanted by a fast-growing Tech4Good FinTech, who are launching a brand-new SaaS product that will help SMEs with cash flow and pressures.
The company has been featured heavily in the news over the past 12 months, because their products have already helped over 150,000 customers with access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier.
We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to help shape the internal systems that keep our operations running at scale. The products you’ll work on are used daily by hundreds of teammates and play a critical role in how we support a large and growing community of small businesses.
This role blends deep technical ownership with people leadership. You’ll spend a meaningful portion of your time building and evolving production systems, while also setting technical direction and raising the bar for engineering quality across the team.
You’ll collaborate closely with a small group of senior engineers, operating as equals, to rethink and modernise our core operational tooling. That includes real-time, high-availability services and smart workflow engines that continuously adapt to changing priorities.
Beyond the code, you’ll be a multiplier for the team — guiding architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and helping translate business problems into scalable, pragmatic technical solutions. If you enjoy building fast, making trade-offs, and seeing your work have immediate impact, this role is for you.
Job Overview & Technical Experience:
The successful Python Technical Lead will earn up to £140,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: generous bonus, pension, medical, training budget, quarterly performance and salary reviews, weekly team lunches, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits. Working within a smaller scale up team, you’ll work to a hybrid model of being on-site a few times a month in London.
