Cloud Infrastructure Lead is wanted by an established FinTech software company, who are undertaking a large digital transformation into AI, Automation and Chat GPT.

You will be working at the intersection of traditional infrastructure and the innovative potential of AI and automation. This is very much a hands-on lead role, with 75% of your time spent on design and engineering, with 25% centred around documentation, leadership and ensuring best processes are being followed.

The Cloud Infrastructure Lead will be leading from a hands-on position which would include solving technical issues, taking ownership of the team's growth and leading with vision as the company embraces the possibilities of Automation.

You’d be joining a company with an open mindset to change and improve, so identifying opportunities for automation to minimise repetitive tasks and enhance productivity across the firm. The team works to a hybrid working model, normally coming together in the office 2 days a week.

Role Description:

• Collaborate as a technical expert alongside the Head of Infrastructure to design and implement new technical infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and advocate for reusable architectural designs and patterns based on industry standards and best practices.
• Identify and solve complex infrastructure issues, working closely with technical and non-technical teams as required.
• Assist in implementing processes and controls to maximise uptime and streamline service delivery for both physical and cloud-based workloads.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and technical authority, while promoting best practices.

Skills / Qualifications Required:

• Proficient in modern infrastructure technologies, specifically Office 365 and Azure services, with hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with infrastructure within a DevOps environment, facilitating automation and self-service functionalities for product development and platform engineering teams.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation techniques, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies, preferably with Terraform.
• Previous experience working with Palo Alto and Meraki networking technologies.

This Cloud Infrastructure Lead opportunity will pay an annual salary up to £85,000, a 15% Annual Bonus, 10% Company Pension, Private Health and Dental Care and lots more!.
