Highly recognisable eCommerce Start-up are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to build a brand new team from scratch, you’ll be joining a growing technology-centric business who are revolutionising the eCommerce / ordering sector.

The company has been established for just shy of two years now and has grown dramatically during that period. Head count currently stands at nearly 500 and as well as creating an environment where innovation and curiosity is encouraged, you’ll be responsible for building four new multi-disciplinary squads of Software Developers (C# / Azure), Front End (Angular), Product Managers, iOS, Android & QA Automation Engineers.

The company is already established in America & Europe and wants to create a London hub where learning, innovation and encouragement is pushed, regardless of what level you are. Most of the projects you work on will be highly transactional with over one millions transactions happening through them everyday.

Ideally, you’ll come from a C# / Microsoft background and have a passion for pushing the latest technology. As you’ll be given lots of responsibility on a new Azure based project. You will be instrumental in establishing the culture and values of the new team being built.

Overview:

• You’ll need to have a track-record in winning the respect of talented technical teams.
• Ability to quickly learn and be able to think and communicate in a way that makes developers and business leaders understanding of your ideas.
• Appreciation and understanding of software engineering principles of a project and product, enabling an efficient delivery of software.
• Come from a background of delivering complex software products, pushing the team with best testing practices and deployment techniques.

Technical Environment: C#, SQL Server, ASP.Net MVC, WCF, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, SOLID, NUnit etc..

The successful Software Development Manager will earn up to £120,000 plus a bonus of 20%. Interviews will be held remotely and the team come together in their London office a few times a month.
