We’re looking to speak to Software Engineering Managers that have worked specifically in the UK Insurance / Financial Services Industry (regulatory environments). We have an opportunity to join one of our Financial Clients and be responsible for the design and delivery of Software Engineering Services which supports their Technology Products and Applications. This is a Hybrid role where you’ll be based in Central London 2/3 days per week. The role takes accountability for setting software development standards, driving continuous improvements, ensuring best engineering practices are being followed, and collaborating with internal teams and service partner(s). This Software Engineering Manager position will pay a starting salary up to £110,000 and also includes Performance Related Bonus 28 Days Holiday (with the ability to buy up to an additional 5 days), outstanding Company Pension, Private Medical and various other benefits! We’re looking for Software Engineering Managers that can define and execute a software engineering vision, roadmap, and best practice. You’ll mentor a team of software engineers across application support and development, predominantly using the very latest Microsoft C# . Net technologies. For this role you will need experience in the following core skills: Expert level C# and .Net Core / .Net Framework Advanced Angular (TypeScript, HTML, CSS) Understanding of backend solutions and SQL server Experience with design patterns and microservices CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub) Experience working cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery models Understanding of TDD, DevOps and modern testing practices If you’d like to learn more about this Software Engineering Manager opportunity please click the APPLY button and a Spencer Scott representative will make contact with you.
